We recently completed a wall mural for a very happy customer. Steen Sorensen supplied us with his memory stick and we gave back to him his very own bespoke wall mural.

Here is what he had to say “Hallo Conrad McKee & Team!
You have done a good job on my wall mural.(Choice of border colour is perfect).

Today we completed a wall mural for a working mens club that was stunning. The sports wall mural fearured lots of sports figures and the feedback so far has been overwhelming.

A while back now we posted an article about a wallpaper restoration project we did. The client has kindly sent us a picture of the wallpaper hung in the lounge. The results of this wallpaper restoration project are awesome.

Ben Bowerman, Managing Director of Godlingston Manor Springs Ltd, says he is very impressed with the wallcoverings we did  and has allowed us to put this image on the blog.

We struggled with the colours on this wallpaper project because the original inks had a large content of lead in them.  This caused metamerism and was a nightmare.  Does anyone know what metamerism is?

We have recently completed a project restoring a wallpaper back to its original glory. A sample of the wallpaper was sent to us and we were asked to recreate it at a minimum cost. The customer had been quoted rediculous prices from a traditional engraver to have the design Surface printed (Nearly £680 for 1 roller), that was before the wallpaper was printed. We printed the wallpaper (2 rolls) and recreated the design for our client for less than the £680 quoted by the engraver.

We recently completed an order for a company in London called 19 entertainment. www.19.co.uk

For those of you who do not know who they are, they are the agents for the Beckham Brand.

Concept Coverings was asked to print the wallpaper for a run out store to market their products. The wallpaper was a simple and classy design basically repeating the logo across the sheet. The great thing about the wallpaper was that a single Gravure roller was not engraved. Initially we were going to print the order via a single colour Gravure print, but we talked the client into accepting digitally printed wallpaper, because the quality is so much better.

I am glad to say the wallcovering was printed, converted, packaged and delivered over 8 weeks ago and 19 are over the moon with the results.

We are now waiting for the next store to be refurbished with the wallpaper and we will be printing that too.

The repeat on the wallcovering was 520mm wide x 800mm circumference. A traditional gravure engraver would charge a fortune for this size of base!! It was free from us!!

This is the last image of the 2 wall murals we did earlier in the year for IMD. The mural is of the Chicago skyline and was 13metres long x 1.2metres high.  It was printed in one piece and the mural was absolutely stunning once it was hung.  It went with the earlier picture I posted of the Route 66 map on the ceiling.

A few people have asked us about the last post we put on the blog. They have been asking where is the custom wall mural you have done.  If you look it is on the ceiling and it is a picture of the famous Route 66.  The picture was purchased from the USA and was created by a guy who travelled the entire route.  Lots of people have done this I hear you say.  What this fella did was to take a map of the famous route with him and he stopped at every post office along the way.  He asked every post office to stamp the map he had and he came up with this wonderful picture that really does tell a story. We recreated the picture and made the owner of the bar his own bespoke custom wall mural.  Maybe the famous movie “Cars” was inspired by his work?

We recently created a bespoke wallpaper border from a new customer’s brief. He was very pleased with his wallpaper experience and kindly wrote a little note to us to let us know how pleases he was withhis “wallpaper border”

In Mr Howey’s words ” We had looked all over for the design my son wanted for his bedroom with no luck. Finally we came across this website for concept coverings who said they could do the boarder. Within a day a design had been emailed to me to check. With the design and price agreed the boarder arrive two days later. We now have a very happy son! We needed a Wallpaper Border to match a floral lounge suite with a
“difficult” combination of greens and terracotta.  After failing to find
anything in the DIY stores and on the Internet, we decided we needed
something custom made and found Concept Coverings through a web search.

Concept designed a Wallpaper Border that used a scanned image of the lounge
suite fabric as the design.  We provided a small headrest cover, and Concept
did the rest!

Excellent communications from start to finish, a quick turnaround and a very
good design that really complements the suite.  Highly recommended.
